INSIGHTS · CONSULTING TERRITORY

Consulting or platform: when does each make sense?

Consulting delivers judgment on political decisions and hard negotiations. A platform automates repeatable discovery and leaves the structure running. The choice depends on whether the problem is one-off or recurring.

When is consulting the right choice?

When the problem is one-off, political, and needs someone with external authority in the room: a merger, a corporate restructuring, a negotiation with a regulator. We don’t compete there.

When is the platform the right choice?

When the question will come back. If in six months you’ll want to know again what changed in the operation, paying twice for the same manual discovery is the expensive part.

Do the two together make sense?

Often. The layer gives the consultancy what it spends weeks gathering by hand — and its judgment starts working on verified fact, not on a recent interview.

The useful question isn’t which of the two is better. It’s whether your problem will come back — because that decides whether you’re buying an answer or a structure.
